Our President
Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry is owned and operated
by its founder, Felix Hendrickson. Felix created
Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry to fulfill on his
lifelong dream of integrating high design with
functionality. A sculptor and photography major
in college, his love of forms, surfaces, shapes,
textures and structures found it's way into
his millwork. Felix learned woodworking from
the ground up—literally. His first job
in a cabinet shop was sweeping the floors. That
was over 15 years ago. Since then, he has studied
and trained with a variety of custom furniture,
cabinetmakers, and musical instrument manufacturers.
Felix's passion for building beautiful and memorable
woodwork has him continuously raising the bar
on functionality and manufacturing techniques.
He brings his love of invention and innovation
to his company and encourages his employees
to stretch themselves in finding new and better
ways to build in functionality with beauty.
Prior to opening Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry,
Felix was the general manager of Philippe Besnard,
Inc, a high end custom cabinet shop employing
traditional European cabinet making techniques.
Felix's work has been placed in state capital
buildings, concert stages and some of the finest
residences and corporate headquarters in the
country. His portfolio is rich and deep with
designs from minimalist and modern to old world
and traditional.
Felix is also an avid jazz drummer and can
be seen playing around the New York club scene.
The Vice President
Lisa Hendrickson's background as a business strategist and consultant for professional services firms has prepared her well for the task of managing and growing Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry. Throughout her career, she has helped entrepreneurs and companies craft their visions and created the methods to fulfill upon their concepts. Now she brings her talents to Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry where she works to craft the company into an industry leader. Her family ties to construction and remodel industries runs deep. She is the second generation in her family to have run a custom trade company. This family tradition coupled with her skills as a strategist and project manager has allowed Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry to take a step further than most new businesses by implementing industry proven strategic, project planning and management techniques to this start-up venture. Lisa's vision for the company is to have the business operations on par with the fine millwork HCC is known for.
Prior to joining her husband at Hendrickson Custom Cabinetry, Mrs. Hendrickson was employed as a Director of Strategy at Scient, a global professional services firm. She is the author of FutureLab™, a series of courses designed to help entrepreneurs bring a business idea from concept to action.
